HPE MicroServer Gen10 Plus iLO Enablement Kit P13788B21
HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus iLO Enablement Kit
By default, the HPE MicroServer Gen10 Plus does not support remote management or out-of-band management even though there is an iLO 5 controller onboard. Instead, the iLO Enablement Kit is required to activate remote management features.
On an HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus, the Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) enablement kit is necessary to support remote management or out-of-band management by enabling either the iLO dedicated NIC port or shared NIC port mode.
Using the in-band management functionality, iLO setting/features not related to out-of-band or remote management, including Virtual NIC, IPMI, RIBCL, iLOREST, RISclient in Embedded UEFI shell, iLO ROM-based SETUP utility, SNMP, Intelligent Provisioning can still be set.
The following behaviors will be observed on servers where the iLO enablement kit is not installed:
When the adapter is set to "Shared Network Port" through the iLO 5 Configuration Utility within the ROM-Based Setup Utility (RBSU), after rebooting, the adapter will revert back to "OFF:"
The iLO Enablement Kit includes the following features:
- An activation key for remote management to the server.
- A dedicated iLO NIC port.
- iLO 5 Essentials features: Email-Based Alerting, Integrated Remote Console (IRC/Virtual KVM - Supports text and graphics) and Virtual Media via Integrated Remote Console.
- MPN: P13788-B21
- iLO support will follow the same warranty terms as the server itself.
